Náměstí Svornosti, the Square of Concord, is the main square of Český Krumlov's Inner Town, set on the peninsula the Vltava wraps around. On its north side stands the arcaded Renaissance town hall, formed in the later sixteenth century by uniting two Gothic houses behind a single façade bearing four painted coats of arms, those of the Schwarzenbergs, the Eggenbergs, the Kingdom of Bohemia and the town itself. At its centre rises a Marian plague column of 1715–1716, sculpted by Matěj Václav Jäckel, encircled by a separate hexagonal stone fountain that was added only in 1843–1844.
