About Moser Glassworks and Museum

The Moser glassworks in Karlovy Vary, a maker of fine glass since 1857, with a museum of its history and tours of the hall where glass is still blown by mouth.

Ludwig Moser opened a polishing and engraving workshop in Karlsbad in 1857, and in 1893 he took over a glass factory at Dvory, where Moser still works today. The museum shows more than 2,000 pieces, and a short guided tour leads into the hall where glassblowers shape glowing glass by hand.

The works lies about two and a half kilometres west of the spa centre, a short ride by bus or taxi. The museum is closed on Sundays; glassworks tours run mainly on weekdays, for small groups that must book ahead.
