The Schwarzwälder Freilichtmuseum Vogtsbauernhof, the Black Forest Open Air Museum, stands at Gutach in the Ortenau district of Baden-Württemberg. It opened in 1964 as the first open-air museum in the state, and preserves original Black Forest farmhouses, most of them dismantled and rebuilt on the museum grounds. Its namesake farmhouse, the Vogtsbauernhof, dates to 1612, confirmed by dendrochronology, and is the only farm still standing on its original site. The museum shows six fully furnished main farmhouses along with many ancillary buildings.
Relocated houses include the Hippenseppenhof, the Lorenzenhof and the Falkenhof, while ancillary structures range from a storehouse of 1601 and a mill of 1609 to a chapel of 1736. More recent additions are the Schlössle, moved in 2018, and the Ortenauhaus in 2023. The museum lies in the Gutach valley on the Schwarzwaldbahn railway, with its own station opened in 2014, and draws around 220,000 to 230,000 visitors across its roughly seven-month season.
