The Walker Art Gallery is an art gallery in Liverpool and part of National Museums Liverpool. It opened in 1877, unveiled by the Earl of Derby, and is named after Sir Andrew Barclay Walker, a brewer and former mayor of Liverpool who funded its construction. Designed by Cornelius Sherlock and H. H. Vale, the building is Grade II* listed and stands in the city's cultural quarter near William Brown Street, close to St George's Hall and the Picton Library.

Its collection, promoted in tourism material as the National Gallery of the North, is described as one of the largest in England outside London. Strengths include Italian and Netherlandish paintings of about 1300 to 1550, Pre-Raphaelite works and Victorian painting, with notable pieces such as W. F. Yeames's 'And when did you last see your father?' and Rossetti's 'Dante's Dream'. The gallery hosts the John Moores Painting Prize, first held in 1957, and admission is free.
