About Seceda
Seceda, the green mountain above Val Gardena that faces the jagged peaks of the Odle group, reached by cable car from Ortisei, with one of the most photographed views in the Dolomites.
Seceda rises to 2,519 metres on the north side of Val Gardena, in the Puez-Odle nature park. Its gentle southern meadows end on the north side in steep cliffs, facing the sharp Odle peaks.
The cable car from Ortisei runs in summer and winter; in busy periods you book a time slot online. A private landowners' fee may be charged on some paths. Keep away from the cliff edges.
Did you know? The jagged ridge in photographs of Seceda is really the Odle group, a line of pointed dolomite peaks seen from the edge of the Seceda meadow.
