About Grandvalira and Soldeu

Grandvalira, the big linked ski area of eastern Andorra around Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa, with more than 200 km of slopes in winter and lake walks in summer.

Grandvalira was created in 2003 by linking the ski areas of Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig and Soldeu-El Tarter. By its own account it is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees, with more than 200 km of slopes, and Soldeu has hosted World Cup races.

In summer, walks lead to the Pessons lakes above Grau Roig: an easy walk of about 1.5 km to the first lake, and a long, difficult circuit higher up. Lift and season dates depend on snow and change each year.

Did you know? Grandvalira was created in 2003 by linking the ski areas of Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig and Soldeu-El Tarter; it takes its name from the river Valira.
