About Casa de la Vall
The Casa de la Vall, a fortified stone manor dated 1580 that served as Andorra's parliament from 1702 to 2011, with its council chamber, chapel and Cabinet of the Seven Keys.
The house was built for the Busquets family; the date 1580 is carved over the door. The Consell de la Terra, Andorra's council, bought it in 1702 and met here for three centuries, until a new parliament building opened beside it in 2011.
Inside are the council chamber, a kitchen where councillors ate during long sessions, a chapel and the Cabinet of the Seven Keys, one key for each parish. Visits are by guided tour with a reservation; it closes on Sundays, Mondays and some holidays.
