Hammam Al Ándalus is a modern recreation of a traditional Arab bath (hammam) built in a historic building in the Judería, near the Mezquita. The facility offers the traditional hammam sequence of cold, warm, and hot pools, steam rooms, and massage, in chambers built in the Moorish style with brick vaulted ceilings pierced by star-shaped skylights. The tradition of the hammam was central to Islamic culture in Córdoba during the Caliphate period, when hundreds of public baths operated throughout the city. This modern facility recreates that tradition in an authentic architectural setting and is one of the most popular experiences in Córdoba.
