The Heineken Experience occupies the original Heineken brewery on the Stadhouderskade in Amsterdam's De Pijp neighbourhood, a historic red-brick building where Heineken brewed its famous lager from 1867 until 1988. The experience is a multi-floor interactive tour that combines brand history, brewing science, and entertainment, walking visitors through the full story of Gerard Adriaan Heineken's enterprise from its founding in 1864. The tour includes original brewing equipment, the famous copper kettles, the stables where Heineken's legendary draft horses were kept, interactive exhibitions explaining the brewing process, and a cinema showing Heineken's history. Each tour concludes with beer tastings in the brand's distinctive taproom. Heineken relocated production to larger facilities outside Amsterdam in 1988, but the original brewery was preserved and reopened as a visitor attraction. The experience attracts approximately 800,000 visitors per year.
