Dynamic Earth

Dynamic Earth features on the Gingerguide audio walk through Edinburgh. Give it roughly ~90 min: enough to look, hear a two to three minute story on the spot, and ask the AI guide whatever the story leaves open.

About Dynamic Earth

An interactive science centre exploring the story of planet Earth, housed in a striking tent-like structure at the foot of Arthur's Seat.

Our Dynamic Earth is an interactive science centre that tells the story of planet Earth from the Big Bang to the present day. Housed in a striking white tent-like structure designed by Michael Hopkins, it sits at the foot of Arthur's Seat near Holyrood. Visitors journey through time tunnels, experience simulated earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, fly over glaciers, dive into the deep ocean, and explore tropical rainforests, all through state-of-the-art immersive exhibits.

Did you know? Dynamic Earth sits at the foot of an actual 340-million-year-old volcano, Arthur's Seat, making it the perfect location for an Earth science centre.
